First trip of the year. Worked third shift so didn’t leave Edisto until 8am. Started trolling shy of ledge around 9:30. Nothing all the way down the banks. Headed offshore and got a gaffer dolphin in 230ft. Worked that area and ended up with two gaffers, two slingers and a small wahoo. Only trolled about three hours. Had two rookie high schoolers on board so stopped to bottom fish in 90 ft. Loaded up on vermillion, triggers and nice size BSBs in a short time. After reading some posts I bought one of those diamond jigs. First drop got a nice red grouper, vented and released, and later a few beeliners and BSBs. Pretty fun way to fish. Good day. No one got seasick. Good to be back on the water and to have some fresh fish.
