Slow bite for us today. Lines in at 6:45am. Started well but ended the day with only 4 dolphin. 3 were good size. Many short strikes. Still had a blast with family and friends. Lines out at 1PM. Nice ride back.
How was the ride out? some friends tried to make it out but turned around.

I hope all 4 dolphin weren’t in the same school, or it could have been a real slow day. The planer musn’t have been deep enough to entice the big bulls.
Glad to hear you were out on the water, we’ll have to get together soon. MS
Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after. ~Henry David Thoreau
We went a bit south today, after plowing through the rough stuff this morning. Ended up at the ledge and trolled north, until we were about in line with Commanche. Ended the day with 2 kings, 4 dolphin, and of course the daymaker 'cuda. ride in was wet but not as rough as the ride out. Very nice while out fishing but pretty nasty while going out and coming back in. Beats working though.

SW,
Glad to hear that you made it out!! Even though it was slow, I’m sure it was better than doing yard work! How deep were you fishing?? I am planning to go next weekend (weather permitting) if you want to go!

jsauls-the ride out was fine. out of charleston we hit the typical charleston chop out of the jetties for the first few miles then a nice ride. wind picked up about 9AM and made a little chop trolling then laid down again. my ride in was nice.
Reel Therapy- we started in 140 at EB trolling towards 226 out to 310 and then moved shallow zig-zagging the ledge the rest of the day. all bites in 180-210. Wish I had pushed deeper. Sounded like some boats had good fishing in 500-600ft.
I do not see anything holding me back for next weekend.
Manolin- they were all hooked up at different times. Yes 4 at once would have been great but would have made the day even slower
