Offshore 6-30 The Bull

We met up at Rimleys point Friday evening to lunch the Parker 2520. The offshore office guys showed up and of course we had to talk fishing a bit. Those guys gave us the recent fishing info. They were the nicest guys. We launched got rigged then settle in for the night on the boat. Beautiful night in the harbor. We left out around 5:00 AM Saturday morning and headed out to 120 feet, dropped the lines in and had to fish in the boat in 20 min or so. A nice dolphin and a 20 lb litte Tunney . We headed on out to about 400 feet of water and picked up another dolphin about 25 lbs or so. Things slowed down a bit until mr big showed up then I saw a big blue flash in the water the pink skirt got smashed and the 6/0 penn started screaming. Captain Steve played the big dolphin like a pro and after 20 or mins or so had him in galfing range. He came along side the boat and I sunk the galf with both hands into the fish. He immediately tried to pull me overboard . Got my grip and hosted him over and onto the deck. Captain said job well done. We finished the day with 3 nice dolphin a little tuney and Mr big. We tried weighing the bull but he maxed out my hand scale at 50 lbs

Sweet report!! I was going gigging and spoke with you at the landing.

That is great!!Nice going on the big-bull;nothing quite like it and I hope you got him in the cooler quick; a 50 lb bull can sure tear up some stuff and beat you to death!!

Very very nice bull!

Do not tell fish stories where the people know you; but particularly, don’t tell them where they know the fish.
