Sorry for the late report. Lines in at the outcrops at 7:30. Waited a long, long, long time for that first bite. Just as the crew had decided they were taking the helm from me a wahoo comes in a nails one of the planers but misses. Being the good captain that I am I watch the wtfb and sure enough he nails it but misses. Sean the angler does a good job of dropping it back and reeling it from him and he comes back and nails it again and is hooked up. Ten mins later a 40lb plus hoo in the box. Not 20 mins after that a sail comes in and nails the port long rigger and misses. Dropped it back twice and hook her up. On for a few mins then with one full out of the water jump, she’s off. Saw another sail free jumping behind the one we had hooked up. Only other action was a nice bull piling on three baits and managing to not get one hook. Half a dozen short strikes. Congrats to Fin-Addict on the blue and the sail. Also Congrats to Reel Hunter on their sail. Dink bait finally worked for us. Storm was one to remind everyone that the ocean is not a playground and can prove that at anytime. Luckily we found a small alley between the two storms and only hit some 3-4’s and a little rain for about 30 mins. Hope everyone made it in safe. Our prayers go out to the crew in the Scout that were missing yesterday… Will post pic of hoo later. Fish were caught in 390-420’. Scattered weed pushed us out passed 350’ just to get some clean water

Good day George. Glad you got through that storm. It was crazy how it went from 2ft to about 5ft so quickly.
Thanks George. Sounds like you had a good day too. I gotta show you that video of how big that shark was. How bad did that storm get you? We pulled em up right after we talked to you at about 1:30 to come home and we hit it like 19 miles out and it wasnt so bad.

Becca thanks. All in all it was a good day. Wish could have gotten that sail. The storm was crazy for a lot of people but luckily we didn’t hit much of it. How was the tournament for you guys?
Fin, that storm was scary but we got through it. I wondered if you guys stopped at the ledge or not. Called you on the radio a few times but didn’t get you. Figured you were gone. I will get with you to see that video. Gotta be insane.

Nice Wahoo - Glad to see my old Luhrs (HATTERASER) is still afloat in the background of your pic. to the right of the little fella’s head. Haven’t been able to make it down for several weeks to check on her.
Save a few of those big “hoo’s” for us NORTH CAROLINA</font id=“blue”> boys!
I fished Bohicket with Jeffery on Shark Byte. We caught 1 sail, a 36 lb dolphin and a 39 lb wahoo. We had a blast! That boat is awesome!
Becca that was an absolutely beautiful boat… What was it a 61 Viking? My next boat will be a Viking I think. Not a 61 but maybe a 43 Open. Had to be an awesome ride.
HATRASSR haven’t seen anyone on that boat in a while but it is always floating. Right now there are plenty of wahoo out there being caught. Some in the 60lb range. Let’s hope them and the sails stay around for a couple more months…
