Left the dock a bit later than planned and started fishing in 140 ft on the 350 line. First line out, a sail fish picked it up and we released him shortly thereafter. He put on a great show! Trolled around the area and never went deeper than 300ft.
Found a fridge floating in the water around 250 ft and picked up 12 dolphin off of that. Could have caught as many dolphin as you wanted there, but took a hook through the hand (that was a first for me) and after cutting the barb off and pulling the hook out we decided to troll inshore to see if we could find a wahoo. Caught a monster king and had about 5 other mystery bites that really pulled some line. All in all a great day with a beautiful ocean.
No booze in the fridge…all doors were off and nothing was inside. Luckily we stocked the boat well for the trip. Hoping to get back out later in the week if the weather cooperates.
Thanks Ifaltus…def was a fun day and a nice ocean. I’m just thankful I had bolt cutters on board to cut that barb off! Just got my tetanus shot yesterday…

The side cutters on the side of your crimping pliers will cut up to a 10/0 owner hook (I know from experience). We put bleach in a sqeeze bottle and squeezed it in the top hole and out the bottom hole…That will make any man make girly sounds (from experience) but no infection!
