The radar looked pretty scary as we left MI at 5am, but we were able to dodge the storms, however they made us go the the Scarp instead of the GT Hole to avoid them.

Once they passed offshore it was pretty nice. Nothing special about the water, no weedlines, breaks, etc.

We worked the ledge and caught 4 nice wahoo and one blackfin on a wwb green machine. Lost a lot of rigs to wahoo as well.

In May we say “thank goodness for dolphin”. Now it’s “thank goodness for wahoo”.

Glad to hear the wahoo are still around…it seems in years past much of nothing is biting offshore during the dog days, other than cuda and kings, along with the occasional stickfish. Then there’s the thunderstorms to dodge…
