Offshore 8/9

Had a great day offshore on Sunday. Scrework and I left the IOP marina around 5:30 and had lines in at 7:40 in 215’. Before we could get all of the lines out, we had 5 lines go down. In short order, we were able to get all five in the boat. We trolled that area and picked up three more before 10:00. After that the fishing slowed down with us catching a baracuda and losing a nice dolphin due to a pulled hook. We did have one sail in our baits, but could not get him to take the bait. We pulled up lines around 1:15 and cruised back on a very nice ocean. It was a great day for August fishing!

So what did you catch?? dolphin?

Behind this helm stands a sickness that not even a women can cure.

Thanks for the ride RT. Good day for sure. Nice ocean and very relaxing on the water.
S4G it was dolphin…and a hoo. RT suprised you left the 1:12pm hoo out that made the day.

Better teach your mate how to drop back. Nice day congrats on the dolphin and wahoo.

wlure…at least he has a mate…I hear about the big sales numbers you are having this year which I guess means no more “small boat” fishing. If you are not on the big boy boats, it’s caviar and champagne weekend retreats, brokering boat deals, etc…must be nice

Scoutin,

We caught 8 dolphin and 1 wahoo.

Whalure,

Ditto what SW said.
