left out of edisto @ 4:00am. Headed towards edisto banks, a bit south of banks. Put out sailfish baits and dredges in 250ft 6:45. First fish…mercury missle at 7:15. Nothing for another 5hrs. Got on the radio and heard some action going on about 10 miles to the north. High speed trolled for 10 miles until we reached better water. Put baits back out and starboard rigger pops out and sailfish on! It was my first billfish. Baits back out, immediately double up on sails. Caught one of two. Baits back out hooked up again. Got em. ended up 3 for 5 on sails. Awesome crew, great day, first billfish,…what a rush. Thanks to the capt of the Lock n Load for calling us in. Had it not been for you, I would still be billfishless.
