Fished the Scarp area. left Marlin Quay at 0600. Decent swell arond 4-5’ that layed down as the day went along. Found a fantastic temp break at 120’, 3 degrees diff in a boat length, wood/weed/balloons(lots) stacked up. We’d planned on running to 100 fathoms but i put out 3 baits to test…we boated 9 dolphins in short time. Left fish to find other/bigger fish. Hit the break and boxed a few more dolphin and 3 hoo’s. Including my personal best wahoo…I aint gonna lie, i thought it was bigger, but the scales proved me way wrong by 15#'s…anyways, i drug at least 15 color combos and every single bait dragged got hit at least once…Yo-zuri bonitas and blue/pink squitches seemed to get a few more looks than the others. My Hoo came off a tuna rig, with 60# flouro leader, got lucky.
