Coal, Highways, forests, shrimp, seafood, oil, water, most building material comes from PUBLIC RESOURCES. People with the strong backs and clear minds scrape out a living providing these things. Warbler , and other poor thinkers want to only play with the PUBLIC RESOURCE without understanding what will happen next . They cant see how the things that happen to the comms are passed X 10 to the recs Somebody has to work hard to provide quality protein from the sea. How about power companies…? They use public rivers to harness electricity. They also cause major problems with coal ash and mercury in the fish we catch. Agriculture has the biggest carbon footprint that exists. .Do you eat much meat…? Do you know how much public resource it takes in some cases to grow it…? Practically every major sector of our economy impacts our natural resources. You have a weak position.

I HAVE THE # to a guy that sells permits if you would like one. i dont care about oil forest or the rest of it just catching fish also yes it sucks recs can only catch one snowy i think it is stupid as hell we can only catch a box per trip that takes about 6 fish and 20 minute.

Guys in Florida will be able to search the federal database and make road trips to fish in our backyard. FlOrinda has 30x more anglers and will get 95% of the catch shares. That is what the feds deem as “fair”. Don’t believe me? Look at the red snapper harvest numbers for 2014. The story tells all.

I’ll take that chance. You and everyone else continues to believe that commercial and rec fates are tied together…they’re not! Completely different issues at stake. Trust me, when all this comes to brass tacks, the legislators will be told what to do by the money men. Where will that leave us? The commercial guys will continue to get hounded b/c they’re the ones exploiting the public resource for profit and potentially causing big problems (e.g., overfishing) and the rec folks will be just fine.
I’m not worried.
