Team,
I upgraded my electronics and went from Raymarine to Garmin. I can not access my old file. I am trying to convert my archivce.fsh file to excel or Garmin supported function. Any idea how to do that? The new Garmin 1040XS and Garmin 541 are an awesome combo. downview and sideview sonar that I am looking forward to playing with.
2nd question - does anyone have or know where to get the standard offshore points - SW Banks, GT hole, etc. I am sure there is a list somewhere but I can find it.
I really am not asking for secret spots. I just don’t want to miss May fishing while I figure out my data issues.
Thank for the help

Raymarine makes it most difficult to transfer waypoints. First you need PCWaypoint.exe. I got my copy from Raymarine. It will allow you to save your archive.fsh to an *.xls.
Then use GPSBabel to convert a Garmin file to .xls (.txt, tab del, etc.)(don’t remember the correct file format off the top of my head).
You will then have to rearrange the Raymarine xls file to match the Garmin xls file format. (This can be done more easily (eng?) if you use functions. Then use GPSBabel to convert the xls to gbd(?).
If this is clear as mud, pm me and I will pull some file formats and refamiliarize myself with the procedure.
thanks team… I ended up just purchasing the raymarine navigator which allowed me to convert my .fsh file to a google earth file and then the garmin home port software which accepts google earth file format to create my waypoints.
Lesson learned… print your waypoints before you switch manufactures.
thanks again for the help
