Great diving fishing on Sat. We went out to 95ft and dropped down on a great live bottom. Water temp was a nice 75 degrees. vis was about 30 feet. Sea life was abundant. More fish than I have seen in a long time. As soon as I hit the bottom my buddy Mike already was wrestling with a giant bug. I looked under the ledge and another giant bug was staring me face to face. I grabbed him and was working him into our bag. Mike pointed behind me and a large sand tiger was within 10ft checking me out maybe a free meal?. I told him there was another bug under the ledge and he came out with a nice gag on the spear. We were about to head up when a giant hog came in to see who was taking all of his lobster buddies. I had to take him out so he could hang out with the lobsters. All in all we sent up 5 huge bugs, a grouper and a giant hog. What a year for hogs. I have 3 over 20lbs this year.
Great to see such a lively bottom with all types of fish-even several large ARS that are still down on the reef swimming around-waiting on the next mini season. A very special shout out to a great captain Jordan with a yack, for putting us on the spot. and Jake for helping us out with scuba and bottom fishing.
