I am taking a trip to destin in mid December and have never fished that part of the gulf. Does anyone have experience on how the fishing is that time of year? Thinking of taking the boat and making a nice couple day fishing trip out of it (30ft cc) I have searched online but haven’t found much info about December. Any insight is appreciated
Drag the boat to orange beach and go to the rigs. It’s about two hours from destin and 70-80 miles to the rigs.

Thanks birddawg I have never fished there not know anyone that has so I was putting some feelers out. We were planning a guys trip and one of the guys has a place there I think we’re gonna take it down to Venice and see what we can do down there. My buddy has been a few times and it’s been on my bucket list. May have to start a new thread about that
I have a buddy who has a 43 viking in orange beach and I fish with them as much as I can get down there. One thing I have noticed about how they plan their rig trips is they order a hiltons report and try to figure out where the breaks that look best appear near a particular rig or drilling ship. Sometimes that can be a long way from shore.
