offshore fishing Saturday April 30 Charleston

Great day on the ocean. I think the first fishable Saturday for us working guys. Left ripleylightmarina at 4 45 Heading south. Harbor was chaotic boats everywhere. Ran out about 30 to 40 MPH. Stopped in 450 feet water temp 78 not much on weeds. Within 15 minutes had first fish in the boat. Stay in 400 to 550 feet most of the day. We boated 11 Mahi and lost about 6. About half were right at 20 lbs. Overall better fish than we had on Monday. Great crew Jason, Alan, Eric, and Andy put on a great show.

I don’t know which one of these I ate last night, but it sure was tasty!

Thanks again Cap’n. Greg. See you next time.

Very fine work there Greg. It looks like you and your new crew got it done very well indeed. My new radio/antenna combo actually has a decent range so hit me up next time we are out.
