Sorry for the late report. We had a trip for the day and they wanted to go weather and all. They were a great group of guys on a bachelor party.O.K.,now the report. We could’nt make it to the temp.break way out because of time and rough seas.We started out trolling in 180’ on the 300 line.We started with cutoffs and pulled hooks right away.We finally caught a bonita and then a kingfish right behind it.We made a few more passes on a ledge looking for wahoo but didn’t find one.We trolled to the s.e. on a 1 degree temp. break with a few weeds along it with a couple of strikes down deep but no hookups. We hit a couple of ledges with some bait on them in 180’ and caught 3 more kings,to about 25#,over the next couple of hours. The water was 70 to 71 degrees but the fishing was slow to say the least. We decided to stay a little late and go in and catch a few bottom fish.We ran to a spot in 100’ and dropped a few lines down the came back up with really big greenheads. We stayed on these fish and they put 17 of them in the box.We got rocked up a couple of times but couldn’t put a groupa in the boat.We headed on in and got to the dock at 7 p.m.,a 14 hour day.Somebody said there is a big push of dolphin headed this way, I think the kings must be leading the way.We trolled passed 2 big mola but they failed to offer at our skipping ballyhoo.Reads like we should have been way south,I wish the seas would have let us go down there, good job to you Carolina boy.
