Left Ripley Light 6am heading south looking for 76 degree water. Ride out was a little bumpy stayed about 30 mph. No flyers, no weed at 250 feet water turned to 76 degrees so I pulled back and we loaded the setup. found some slick water but no weeds. Started trolling and within 15 minutes the rods went off. we had triples and landed 2 nice Mahi. stayed on the rip all day had 2 more triples and landed all fish. The bait color did not seem to matter they hit every rod we had out. Ended up with 16 in the boat about 5 short strikes and lost at the gaff. Great day to dust off the boat and tackle. Great crew Jason, Mike, Ryan and The Pope.

Awesome, I’m getting excited!!! Haven’t seen much report of Wahoo the last week since we had some success with them. Hoping to find them in the same area before heading Deep for Phin’s this weekend if we can get a window to fish!

That boat always catches the fish, wish coulda got off work Monday or I would have called you up on filling that boat haha.

That third pic is one amazing colored MAHI.

Gregg, stop by the branch sometime here in Columbia soon. Always good to talk with you and congrats on Monday!

My kind of fishing. I hate fighting weeds all day. We run 9 rod spread and it’s a pain in the ass with scattered weeds.

Had a great day fishing aboard the Miss Emily. I still have visions of lit up blue dolphin trying to stay out of gaff range. Can’t wait to do it again!!
