Headed south and got to the ledge early at 5:40 am. We high speed trolled to the weed line in 800 ft of water and started catching dolphin. In the middle of the day we pushed out to the secret sword spot and did a day drop with no luck. We then headed back to the weed line and picked up some more dolphin. If anything about this trip was unlucky, it would be that we lost two fish on the gaff and did not catch a swordfish. We ended up with 7 out of 9 dolphin and had an awesome day! The “lure of the day” was a little orange Z-Man bubbler and the long range mahi mahi cackle really teased them up to the boat.

I forgot to mention the Fish Razors that Jeff installed on my boat. The flying fish on my bow work pretty good. As soon as it warms up a bit I’ll get some video from underneath the water. I have red squid on the transom and flyers on the front.

Looks like yall had a great day, glad to see the fish are arriving. That is one bada$$ boat btw, i have always really liked scouts. How did yall record the video, was someone doing the filming, or did u have a camera mounted facing the rear, just curious bc the video is pretty good.
Thanks! We were using a Go Pro mounted to the boat. We just moved it around to get different shots. I like under the radio box the best. It is eye level and makes it feel like your there. I mounted it up high last time and it looked like a surveillance camera. I also run a Go Pro underwater on the dredge . It has the extra battery and records for around 4.5hrs. I did not have anything really interesting from the last trip with that camera, but you never know what might come up on the dredge. Last year we used a Flip camera that recorded in 720p and was hand held. The Go Pro in 1080p with the wide angle lens and all of the mounting options is the bomb!
