Offshore Office 5/16 Dolphin Everywhere

Fished straight out. Lines out at 6:15am. We could hardly get all of the the lines out. The first dolphin grabbed the teaser and would not let go . We pulled it out of his mouth and then we bait and switched him. After 9:00 am we decided to go deep to 1700 feet and pull big lures for marlin. It was slow. We caught and lost a dolphin and had one hit on the lure but it spit the hook. Who knows what it was. We also high speed trolled for wahoo and had a wahoo that dumped half the spool on a 50 then spit the hook.

9:00am Head Count

A group of porpoises came by the boat chasing down flying fish. We also had a dolphin do the same thing 3 feet next to the boat.

Ended the day with 20 dolphin.

Good Times.

Good going on your day there, just wanted to share some info on high speed trolling. If you run 11o hooks with a 0 degree set up it will improve greatly. I have ben working with the guy that has won the world wahoo championship four times and he has helped out tons.Trying new stuff is a ***** but well worth it, we have done real well. Good luck
