Offshore Report Oct 20

Headed south yesterday with my father who was visiting from PA, and some friends includng Brad and Joey from Game Day. We had high expectations after the reports from Saturday, but it was a slow day. Plenty of bait and fish on the sounder, free jumpers but few bites…

Ended up 1 for 4 on Sails, a few dolphin and had a couple of wahoo hit the spread-- need to restock on Islanders. The highlight of the day was my 73 year old dad catching a sail on his first offshore trip. A day of memories and photos that will last a life time.

Hopefully the Internet critics keep their interpretations of federal fisheries law to themselves.

Nice work putting your pops on a billfish!

Man that really is a nice sail and the picture should be cherished forever along with the memories!!! My dad is 66 and I watched him catch his first sail along with me and my best friend on a triple header in may last year but they weren’t quite that big and there was too much action all at once to get a pic that good! Thats Awesome!! Thanks for the report!
