Offshore Saturday June 6

Headed out Saturday target deep water south. Started trolling in 1400 feet. Trolled for a couple hours nothing going on. Radio chatter no one catching much of anything. Trolled around and finally found some weed formation. Bam stared hitting fish double hookups. The fish were larger than what we found in 800 feet. The boats were all over. Saw bill fish free jumping in the area. We finally found fishy looking water. Green was the color of the day. Ended up with 10 Mahi. Guys wanted to head in and jump off the side of the boat and check out the bottom. Casey found a large gag and ended up breaking his spear. Bill gathered up 4 lobsters. We dove the bottom we fished on Friday. Coral heads were all around. The large dolphin seem to be in the deeper water and south of the jetties.
Thanks to Ryan, Casey, Tim and Bill. Great day.

Nice report Gregg

Great day out there. Ocean really sat down after some early showers. Saw some good aerial maneuvers from the mahi’s as they tried to keep from being dinner, but that was a losing battle for the fish.

Good viz down at 90’, got a little worse towards the last 15 feet due to some hefty current. Lotta life down there.

Big thanks to Capt. Gregg for putting us on the fish

it doesn’t count untill they’re in the icebox.
