Fished Sunday 5/26. Left the dock at 4:20am and out the rocks at 5am. Quickly greeted by a beautful calm ocean. Full moon off the starboard with a beautiful sunrise to the east to start the day off. Dropped lines in the deep after heading to a spot based on the Rutgers report that looked like a nice hard edge. Found the rip and found the fish within 2.5 miles of the starting spot. Never strayed further than 6 miles from our starting spot the whole day. Around 11am, blue suicides on the right flat just behind the boat. While clearing lines to pursue the first blue, a second marlin came up on the right short, then teaser, and could not get the pitch bait to him fast enough. Had to focus on the first fish as line was getting skinny on the reel by that point in time. Had the ocean to ourself until around noon when the rest of the fleet greeted us. Ended the day with 18 dolphin and 1 for 2 on blues.
