2006 150 suzuki 4 stroke. serviced yearly. service w complete oil change in december. use boat all weekends starting in may. oil light says im way low on oil. used the proper oil. isnt this a little soon to be burning through all my oil? am planning on buying more and replenishing and see if it happens again. any comments, suggestions, ideas?
Just the oil light says you’re low, or have you checked it manually?

Sounds odd to me.
I have a 2007 DF200, that I use about the same amount as you. It doesn’t seem to use a drop of oil between changes.
Any leakage around the oil filter?

Also,
Suzuki states that you need to change the washer on the drain plug after each oil change. Did you do that?

that im not sure of. but doesnt seem to be any oil leakage. gonna replenish and see what happens. Chris V suggested i needed carbon free but that was done last service in dec.

I have a 2006 115 4 Stroke Suzuki in the shop right now for excessive oil consuption. They said they have not seen this problem before.
