OK One more time. SLAMMMMM

Couldn’t help myself and hit it again yesterday evening. Second cast flounder at the boat and struggled trying to get the net and lost it. caught flounders from the size of my palm to 16" then a red and fished for another hour to try and get the slam. Tide pushing further up the river at a smoothe pace and here comes my structure and slammmm 16" trout. 3 days in a row getting the slam is a best for me fishing ever. There are flounders everyehere, all those areas I’ve missed fish in the past, I’m now catching flounders because I’m not just setting the hook; I’m fishing I think.

Killing me man! It’s that time of the year again… I’ve been on call the last 2 weeks along with working this shutdown at the plant and have had zero down time…but hey all that changes starting tomorrow! You give me inspiration, thank you for that… Keep up the good fishing KOBP! I’ll be out there soon enough!

I really struggle on anything but low tide. An hour or so after low it seems they just shut off.
Willing to share any pointers?
Do you shift technique in higher waters?

Redfishjunkie nice meeting you and continue to work it. Hope that area panned out for you last week.
Frigotta- When fishing for flounders I keep the same technique regardless. With rushing tide my twitches are less frequent because it take a while getting back to the bottom. I focus on my weedline during low tide and try to remember how much of a drop during hi tide this let me know the speed of twitching. most flounders I’m catching either against the grass or in deep drop offs this time of year nearly 20’ of water.
PJ2 See you this weekend on the water. I only fish as far as the rocks past the golf hole in the late evenings and the tide coming in worked great this week.Flounders on MM

Great report. Good job fatrat.

Any of you guys helping out with the MAD event on November 12th? It is a very enjoyable and worthwhile day doing a little something for a couple of active duty military. Any with the great reports some of you post I’m sure you could put them on some fish. Remember, these guys don’t have boats and will not be back to your secret spots.
