ok guys just got home an hour ago from the lake.the fish are biting.caught 14 keepers.kept 4 for the pan tonight.the fish are from bigmans past the big rock wall in little river.they are shallow.planer boards and free lines.i usde some cheese crackers for the gun runners.■■■■ it’s funny watching them.dnr is at bigmans in a small war eagle about 14ft.it’s not marked so watch out in the no wake zone.he wrote several tickets today.murray the crackers are alittle payback to the ass boats that fly by doing 50.pour them out and watch the birds start diving but don’t be in the area you will get run over.i don’t plan on fishing tomorrow.i’m got to cook a wild hog.i will be out sunday.good luck everyone.murray call me tonight.flatlander dean kicked ass today i talked to him on the water.if he catches like he did today it’s gonna be tough.
When you say shallow, how shallow do you mean. I think that may be my problem. I have been fishing the channel. Do you just drift across points, run the back of creeks or work close to the shore. Also, did you look at that boat. Just curious if it was rot.
when i say shallow i mean 5-15.i go across points.i haven’t tried the creks yet.the boat was not rotten.the mounts were in good shape also.i think it was just one of them things that happen.the hull is in good shape.he has a 500$ trolling motor on it,brand new batteries,a bar across the back for trolling.i just didn’t like the boat.it’s worth 800$.

that’s a cute little trick with the crackers. i like trolling for stripes and using down rods as much as the next guy but i guess it’s a sin to want to chase the gulls.
bcastin it’s not a sin to chase birds.i’m referring to the butholes that run 5 feet from you or over you freelines and planer boards to get to them.i will say there are some courteous bird chasers out there.i chase a few myself but i don’t try to run over anyone to do it.
