Ok to buy crabs from crab boat

I will be making several trips to IOP in August-Labor Day.

Have couple crab traps I put out but one or two of these may be a one fishing day weekend and will not have enough time to catch crabs.

Many times I see the crab boats running the pots and have wondered if it is ok to approach them and purchase crabs straight from them

Yes, we do it every day in the summer. Some of them will give you their phone number to contact them when you hit the water to find out what particular creek they are working that day.
