Any one know any thing about these reels. Looking for a good combo for inshore mostly pier fishing. Have looked at penn fierce in the same price range. like bait runner on okuma.
I personally think Okuma is an under-appreciated name and product. They are most definitely a fast-growing brand though.
Of course Penn is one of the most trusted names in saltwater fishing.

I purchased a fierce 4000 combo back a couple months ago from dicks- got it on a " super saver" deal. I have only used it a handful of times but it seems alright. The only negative things I have to say are that the 4000 model rod is a to stiff to get a good feel with your basic artificals ( 1/4 ounce jig heads) and this is using 20lb power pro. The other con I have is that the reel doesn’t click like most other penn reels. I would personably buy one again because I the price but I might go a size down for artificals. Just take your time and find a combo that fits your needs.

Don’t know about the Tundra but I have been using a couple of cheap Avengers that have been dunked numerous times in saltwater and they keep on working. My favorite is a Trio that Too Busy turned me onto. They seem really well made and hold up well. I have one 3 years old that looks new. I also think they are under-rated.

Okuma makes pretty solid gear and their warranty is one of the best on the market. Always hard to go wrong with a Penn. I have a set up with a Fierce on it that I use for dropping dead bait. Only downside is that its a heavy reel.
Thanks for the reply’s. think I will go for the tundra.
