What the quickest way to get old gas out of the tank…19 bay boat? The tank is under the console. No idea how much is in there b/c the gauge does not work…but I do know whatever is in there is old.
Probably no easy way to do it. If you have more than 6 gallons you have to have a (or several or many) container to put it in and haul it to Bees Ferry Road Recycling Center. You have to siphon it out. Good luck. But, if you leave bad gas in the boat you may end up with a big repair bill later.
I would put a primer bulb inline to the motor and just get to pumping the primer bulb. That is what I plan to do this weekend. I dont have much in there so it shouldnt be that big of a problem.
No one knows if YOU are THE village IDIOT or not until YOU open your mouth and speak!!!
get a cheap pump from walmart. it’s red and like 9 bucks. they are in the section with the fuel tanks. hook it up to one side of the primer ball and pump some down to a tank or whatever. once it starts to flow, pull the hose off the pump and it will free flow into whatever. that’s what we did with mine. you don’t need to keep pumping it once it’s primed.
it’s tough being a gamecock fan!
Pepboys sales a fuel pump for a tractor that works great. We put aligator clips on it and pumped out 20 gallons of gas by hooking into the fuel line at the racor. I did have to use a primer bulb to get the pump primed, but once it was, it pumped like a champ. If you are in Mt. Pleasant, Public Works has a tank to dump the gas.

Define ‘old’. Burning it might be the best way … ![]()

This is easiest way and will work great.
Old… is gas from last summer
If you ‘treated’ it, let the big dog(s) eat. If not, I bet your truck won’t know the difference …

I had the same situation. Probablly had 25 gallons of 18 month old gas(at least) in tank. Topped it off with fresh gas(approx. 5 or 6 gal.) and a can of Sea Foam and ran it the other day for about 3 hrs. at the lake with no problems.

Sea Foam saved me from having to buy a new fuel pump for my truck. It will work on just about anything. Great stuff.
