Older Marlin 30-30 for newer model?

Do any of you guys know someone who is looking to possibly trade an older Marlin 336 for a newer one with a crossbolt safety? A lot of people like the older ones without the safety, but I prefer the other. Anyway, just curious.

You probably know this, but Marlin was sold to a conglomerate a few years ago.The older guns are now preferred.I would think twice about this.

I just chased down a 30A from the late 80’s. Find a rifle with the JM stamp on the barrel, after they sold out the barrels went way down hill. Found several on Armslist.

Yeah, I know, but for some reason I prefer the ones with the crossbolt. Shoot, I’ll probably just buy a new, wood stock to jazz it up. Thanks fellas.
