OMG!! (More Pics Added)

I just got my new (to me) 31 TE Fountain w/ twin 275 Verados!!
Took it out for a little spin, and all I can say is DAY-UM!!
That boat is a beast.
It jumps up on plane faster than anything I’ve ever skippered.
It tops out about 67mph.
I can’t wait to get that baby offshore, but for now, I’ve just got to get used to driving that bohemeth…
I was having a helluva time just getting that thing up to the dock.
Not used to the twin engines yet.
(If you were one of those people at the dock when all of this was going on, please don’t point and laugh too hard:roll_eyes:)

Anyway, I’ve definitely got some kudos to pass out here.
I’ve been a member of USAA for more than 10 years, and I’ve used them (actually underwritten by Progressive) for all my boats. I always assumed that they had the best prices, and I was content with keeping my insurance through them. WELL… This time I decided to look into the local economy for some help. I called up Lee “GotchaCovered” Strickland, and he got his group to find some quotes for me. Honestly, I wasn’t really expecting much of a difference, but to my surprise, he was able to save me nearly $1400 per year… Yes, $1400. Not only that, but he was very helpful in providing advice when I was making my boat purchase decision. I tell you what, Lee’s good people in my book.

I’d also like to give a shout out to Tracy at River’s Edge Marina. I was considering a boat that he was selling for his friend, but decided to go for the Fountain instead. Anyway, as I was floundering around at the dock, he called me on my cell phone, and gave me some outstanding pointers on manuevering that vessel, and even came aboard and helped me load it onto the trailer.

I am so glad that there are so many people out there that are kind and helpful in our wonderful Charleston community. Thanks again Lee and Tracy. I can’t thank you both enough for all your help.

Happy boatin’ y’all!!

Congrats on the new boat! If ya need any help installing electronics or anything on it, give me a shout. Can be interesting at first getting used to twins but once ya do, one can make the boat just bout do anything ya want!

Congrats on the new boat… I’ll probably be one of the ones being laughed at in a few weeks at the cut. I’ve got it down in the lake, but I’m expecting the tidal current to make me look the fool… congrats again

That was a picture of it while it was getting refurbished at the Fountain factory.

Nice boat. Did you get to meet Reggie while the boat was getting refurbished?

Beeeeutiful boat!

I’m not trying to “pry” and if you feel “uncomfortable” giving numbers, then by all means, don’t.

What year is the boat and give or take a couple grand, mind stating how much it was?

Also, I’m even more interested in the insurance.

Per my other thread in this section, I’m lookin’ for an “upgrade” and just wondering, realistically, what I can “afford” and still live comfortably. I have not really taken into account the insurance.
