One of those days

I wouldn’t be surprised. Just as well I was late anyway. If we had left on time something else would have probably gone wrong

The being late part was just stupid – Rogerdog followed his gps a little too far. I have a new policy – pull a paper map and cross reference where we are and does this direction make sense.

Notwithstanding the doom and gloom from Cracker Larry, Rogerdog and his wife had a great time. The river was beautiful, there were shrimp in the creek, they learned how to throw a cast net (some throws were tacos, but lots and lots of the throws were beautiful pancakes), we had a couple of fish bites (Rogerdog has to learn how to tie a decent fishing knot), the weather was not blazing hot, we got home at a reasonable hour . . . Rogerdog’s wife won’t stop talking about shrimping, and she is looking forward to going back and trying some more. The rain downpour at the end was even beautiful, and it cooled things off for the ride home.

Having the throttle not respond is an odd feeling, but we had the hand tools to fix it.:sunglasses:

The fishing partners loved Cracker Larry’s troubled trip.

I had more grace than to mention that part of the day:smiley: They were probably just sharks anyway, no big loss.

No doom and gloom, I had a great time too, just not the best of days for what we had planned. Catch a bunch of shrimp, then catch a bunch of fish was the plan. Plans don’t always work out as planned  Still a great day. Watching a good storm coming across the river is much more exciting than watching TV any day:smiley:

Daddy always said grab life by the azz and hang on, because today might be your last chance.

Oh, and that boat is fabulous for shrimping and fishing. When you pull the front cushion and the seat backs, there is a pleasant upper ■■■■■■■■ for standing and throwing the net and a big lower deck for sorting shrimp from everything else. There is plenty of comfortable seating, plenty of rod holders, good shade, cupholders where you need them, room to move around and stay out of each other’s way – it just works.

Yep, we done real good with that boat  It’s a perfect platform for the job.

Sweet dude. I would love to check out your shop sometime. I am an amateur builder. Wish you were closer to Beaufort. That boat looks really nice.
