Tried one poling for the first time last week using cajun anchors out the bow and stern. Worked good. Was wondering, if I place reflective tape on the cajun anchor and put a tag on it would that constitute one pole in the water making it legal to bait??? BTW, my cajun anchors are made out of 6’ & 8’ ground rods with 15’ of line attached.

I would think a pole is a pole. Regs just say it can’t be over 1" in diameter if I am not mistaken. I usually use one of my shrimp poles as an anchor pole when I 1 pole it.

I’ve always thought that 2 stick pins would be the best way to 1 pole. Much easier than 3 anchors

I set two anchors in the direction of the current more or less. Then just took one of my regular poles and stuck in the swim platform and never did put it in the bottom. You cajun would be fine as long as you can see it about the water line.
I also use the 2 cajun anchors to one pole. What i like to do is stick a shrimp pole, drift a few feet and stick front cajun, motor straight and tight on the front i plant the rear.the shrimp pole helps take account for the sideways sway.5-6 ft makes a difference.
