One Powerpole or two?

New skiff should be ready for rigging end of next week. Right now, I have it set for two Powerpoles. Do you think the second Powerpole will be worth the extra weight? Each one will add 15 pounds to the transom. I like the idea of 2 powerpoles so I can put my 13 yr old son on a spot and not have the current swing us around. If money is not the main concern (still a factor)… What would you do? One or two powerpoles?

Also, I will have spot lock on the trolling motor for deeper spots. We would be fishing up stream anyway, so would not need to use Powerpoles when trolling in deeper water. I don’t think the trolling motor spooks the redfish in deeper water if it is kept at a slow constant speed. Not sure how the spot lock works?

Thanks,
Joe

That’s an easy one if money is not an issue , go with 2 .

Thanks Wicked… Not really an issue because I am still paying less for the new boat and accessories than what I sold my old boat for. Also, my wife has already approved the budget! Still, it’s $1600 and an extra 25 pounds including pump and fluids.

if the boat can handle the weight and you can handle the cost, 2 works better

Thanks Chris… If I go on a diet and lose 10 pounds, everything should be good.
