Hit the water at 7 threw the net once and got more shrimp than I would ever need. Got into the trout at slack low tide really heavy, solid chartreuse and white with red head spooks were the ticket in the morning. Probably caught close to 15 on topwater then switched to shrimp under popping corks and caught about 20 or so and one small red. Rain came in around 11 and we were done. Released close to 5 dozen edible sized shrimp so some of y’all can catch 'em.
50 quart cooler for reference to the size of the trout.
What type of area did you catch the shrimp?
Those look like creek shrimp. I tried the harbor yesterday morning early at slack time and all I got were croakers. Went out front side of Morris and got all the menhaden I could handle.
Did you get those shrimp at a creek mouth?
