Does anyone else experience an open mike or ■■■■■■■■ on one of the channels? usually for me it is 68, comes and goes but cannot get the static to stop even when turning the squelch to full. 16 never has any problem so Ive been just turning off the scan feature, although I do like to scan multiple channels as I operate on one and always like to monitor 16. Any ■■■■■■■■ on if I have an antenna problem of others have this issue would be great.
I have never had the problem that you are describing. Shakespeare makes a tester for radio and antenna. Costs right at $100, would be the best way to test to see if its radio or antenna. Allows you to see your true radio output as well which is comforting before a trip offshore.
