I’m not interested in shooting a velvet buck. Especially if its a quality deer. They can’t be scored and most of the velvet mounts don’t look so great after a few years. I’ll hunt hogs for a while yet.
I’ve got a few nice bucks in velvet on camera… I’ll wait till September 15 and take a couple of Nannies. I’ve already got plans for the first one to be nothing but Jerky… Except for the backstraps… of course.
