The whole weekend doesn’t look good for opening weekend of shrimping.
I am curious as to whether they are going to evacuate Charleston for this hurricane. If so then that will completely mess up the start of shrimping season

I am coming down from lexington for opening day only so a Saturday or Sunday evacuation would be ok but a Friday evacuation would be less than ideal traffic conning back. This hurricane may thin the herd for you coastal guys that dont have to travel

One of my best days ever was the first fishable day after the great flood a couple years ago…we can sit and speculate all day long, but I wouldn’t count out a strong season just yet. Regardless…be safe this weekend guys, looking forward to comparing stories this season.
