Opening day is one I will never forget. I almost died.
My son shot his first velvet, a basket 8. Also first one on opening day.
Meanwhile I was in my stand puking my guts out and crapping blood.
Get back to hotel and i have a seizure an off to hospital by ambulance.
Thought sure I had Covid.
Turns out I had an upper GI bleed (bleeding ulcer).
My shoulder had been bothering me for a long time and I had been taking advil like it was candy for months.
My normal meds include Plavix, a blood thinner and a baby aspirin.
Docs tell me that combo is like putting a volcano in your belly.
Almost back to full health. Hope to be back in stand this weekend.
Good thing you got medical attention when you did. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
