opinions on a 21 contender?

I love mine, have an appt. with Chris V for annual tune up Monday am. You will have a lot of fun with your boat, good luck.

Had to edit… missed the past 6 posts?

Good luck with your new boat! I doubt you will have any problems with a fine made boat. (no sarcarsm)

I have never heard anything negative about the 21’ Contender… just the larger ones. (no sarcarsm)

Just because i am curious… Think a 21’ Contender rides better than say a 25’ Sea Fox, 25’ Trophy, 25’ Sea Pro, etc? Just curious… they are all about the same price as the 21’ Contender. (just a question)

I was not series about a real comparison of a Sea Fox and Contender.

not sure if serious…

Should have known as sarcasm when comparing a Sea Fox to a Contender. Now if he had compared a Contender to something like a Pioneer then that could have be taken seriously. (**()

The 21 Contender is a very nice boat. As someone else mentioned, 21 is 21 so you have to keep that in mind. It will ride better than probably any other 21 foot boat around. They make a great quality boat and the hull will last you forever if you take care of it. I looked hard at the 25 and 27 Contender before getting my 26 Reg. They quality is top notch and the folks at Tailerwalker are awesome. Also, the wiring is a thing of beauty in Contenders.

I bet the Sea Pro didn’t have to go to the shop the next day to get the hull repaired.
He couldn’t keep up beacause Contender owners are like Mustang owners… You wanna drive like an idiot and rev the engine up at all the stop signs.

Buy a 21’ Sea Fox… When the hull falls apart they will replace it.

Can we get rid of this fool? I looked at the last couple handfuls of posts from this person and it is all complete rubbish.

Good boat.

Looks cool.
Bilge access sucks.
Console smaller than most and access door will crack your chins.
Nice coffin box up front.
Better on fuel than most folks realize. About 3.75 MPG @ 4000 RPM with HPDI.
Level deck is nice.
Resale is good especially with DI power.
Doesnt like 4 stroke weight.
Built well. Tall stringers.
Easy to trailer and good on the wallet.

You’ll enjoy it.

I would put the 21 Contender only second to a KenCraft 215 Challenger.
I had one and regret ever getting rid of it. Bar none, it is the biggest, driest 21 foot center console on the market. Deep boat with a true carolina flared hull. Just my opinion. My next boat may be a 25 ft Kencraft center console.

Not that Coates needs any defendin’ ‘cause he is all growed up, but he really is a good guy and does a lot for our troops by organizing fishin’ trips for those home on leave and various other things. If ya notice his posts, he has a lot of different boats with some interesting motor combinations. As a Grady owner, I took no offence.

It ain’t a Regulator…

My buddy has a 23’ Regulator that rides twice as good as my 22’ Sea Pro.
