And you are giving your opinion & you own a Seapro?? I own one & the ride is better than any 21 around & some 23's. With a 200 mine will around 47mph, thats plenty. How come when we came a few weeks back we blew by a guy in Sea Pro cause he was getting the crapped kicked out of him & couldn't keep up??

21 Contender

I bet the Sea Pro didn’t have to go to the shop the next day to get the hull repaired.
He couldn’t keep up beacause Contender owners are like Mustang owners… You wanna drive like an idiot and rev the engine up at all the stop signs.

Buy a 21’ Sea Fox… When the hull falls apart they will replace it.

Can we get rid of this fool? I looked at the last couple handfuls of posts from this person and it is all complete rubbish.

So now a Seapro is better than a Contender?? Shoot up here amongst us, …one of us has to have some relief!!!

KNOTHEAD

even though i have limited experience with smaller contenders i would be willing to bet my life savings that you wont find a 21 sea fox or 21 sea pro owner that wouldnt mind trading it in for a 21 contender

the biggest problem with internet forums is that it is hard to detect sarcasm in text.

I do not like Contender but I have to say the 23 and the 21 are the best riding CC in their class. It is very hard to turn a 21 and 23 Deep Vee into a great riding and great fishing boat. Contender did it and I have yet to see a compnay come along and match that. If you are buying a 21 Deep Vee then I would only buy the Contender if you are moving up to a 23 then the option open up a little but 21 Deep Vee boats typically are not quit long enough to give you a great ride.

From reds to marlin you got it.

A little sarcasm is fine here and there, but when its all the time it is called something else.

my sarcasim radar has been on the fritz…i actually just bought a 21 contender…ive fished on some 27s and bigger and liked them however this was my first boat since graduating so a 21 is about all i can afford. thanks for the input though.

i don’t know about a 21’ contender, though i bet it’s pretty good. but i have a friend that owns a 28’. that thing is bad ass.4’ seas are nothing for it. he had an issue with the transom.took it georgetown and they took care of it.nice boat.

We had nothing break & they broke their T-Top. I haven't broke a t-top or anything else on my boat.

21 Contender

contender actually knows how to wire a boat
they do suffer from stress cracks in the corners, because the radius for the curves are to tight
they are definately one of the best riding 21’ boats around. although they cant be compared to other 21’s, more like 22-23 overall length.
with the deep vee, they are a bit on the tippy side when drifting or slow trolling.
overall, you cant go wrong

Chris the LOA on a 21 is 21’3 with 8’3 beam.

21 Contender

well im pretty stoked about it… im picking it up this weekend. was supposed to fish saturday however saturday turned out to be the only day i could do it with work and the former owners schedule. oh well

My old 21 Contender was a very nice ride. Remember you are talking about 21’ in length, and b/c of this length you will have limitations. I do know that I have cruised comfortably (ie 3900 rps) by some 23’ boats that were getting pounded pretty good.

I also don’t rev engines up at stop signs.

wasnt talking about fishing in the new boat this weekend…

ted
I know some of the larger contenders are longer than they list them as
just assumed it held for the small ones.
still great ride for a 21’ boat.
