Unfortunately, I’ve been pretty busy with work this year to get offshore. I have been wanting to try and plan a trip to Oregon Inlet this year with my dad and brother. It would be our first time fishing offshore around that area, but I have heard great things and always wanted to go. We are looking primarily for yellowfin. Tentatively, we are planning for end of October/November, but wanted to get input as to the best time to catch good numbers of yellowfin. Also, wanted to get any input on favorite charters out of OIFC. Heard lots of positive things about Bi-Op-Sea. Thanks for any advice/input. Hoping to make a memorable time with the family and would also love to fill the freezer for this winter if possible!
November is yellowfin & some blackfin tuna, even an occasional bluefin.
I always fished with Omie Tillett on the boat he built,
The Sprortsman.
I’d go with Capt. Tony Tillet on the Carolinian, gorgeous boat.
Omie’s done now, but I’d also consider Capt. Dick Harris on Fintastic, Omie built that one too.
“No… it’s okay, I know the way out…”

dad and uncle fished bi-op-sea in May and nailed 13 yellowfins and 4 dolphin. Dr. D is an old family friend from the Au-top-sea days and his capt/crew are top notch, but plenty of good rigs and crew up there so i wouldnt worry too much about it.
just hope the weather is good!!!

Bi-Op-Sea with Cpt Jesse G is my first choice and Outrigger with Cpt Aaron Wright is 1B. Both are top shelf IMO.
You gonna talk or FISH!
