You fish out of one or the other and it can make a difference. I will likely wait a day or two to see where the fish show. My last trip was early and I got lucky. The fish will settle in this week and fishing will get fairly consistent, but the question remains, where?
I may have boats booked in both locations. They will be big boats with professional crews, that is for sure. May fish one day in Hatteras and one in OI. There won’t be definite plans until very near the dates themselves. I will likely let the fish decide where I go. Some boats provide gear and others don’t. Some troll with teasers and others a full spread while searching. I really need to get a feel for the competency and desires of those interested before I pin things down.
Keep in mind it is a holiday weekend for most(not me). I will likely fish Fri and Sat or Sat and Sun not Monday unless the other days are blown out.

Jigging for bluefin is not meat fishing. If your sole concern is meat fishing this will NOT be for you. We may spend a lot of time looking for fish without hook baits in the water. You may hook 10 fish and never land one. You may never see one or hook one. You may land one that isn’t in the slot and have to let it swim.
I will not have an issue filling a boat. It is fun to get some local folks up there to maybe experience something they haven’t before. Many people PM’d about going so I thought I’d put it out there. This trip will happen and you’ll need to be flexible until I see where the fish are headed.
Yea we was not bluefin fishing the captain was trying to get us on yft and bft. I have no problem with no meat or hooking ten fish and never seeing them we would just like to experience it as well!!! I am very flexible just had two more that is not as flexible!!! Didn’t know if you had boats you have been on that you was thinking of trying to charter?? Thanks!!

Sorry to say the trip is full and set. Due to the Holiday weekend I had to change tactics and will not have room for extra folks. I will work on a less busy time for those who would still like to go or happily pass on my contacts up there for those who may want to set a trip up themselves.
