Our trip 10-1 through 10-5

Arrived at Buck Hall on Sunday and set up camp. Hit the north end of Bull’s Bay and set poles. Numbers weren’t great, and the size wasn’t as advertised. Wind was up a little, but it wasn’t terrible. Got about half a cooler before returning to camp. Monday was much like Sunday, only with a little more wind. Tried Bull’s Bay, but it quickly got rough. We pulled poles and headed to Muddy Bay where it was only slightly less rough and we fought it out to another half a cooler. Tuesday swells in Bull’s Bay were scary, so we headed to Muddy Bay again. Still rough, but we set poles anyway and started throwing and bringing up empty nets. We immediately pulled poles and found a flat that was sheltered from the northeast wind. We reset, baited and ended up with a cooler full. Size wasn’t great, lots of smalls and mediums, but we don’t have the luxury of picking and choosing, so we were happy. Went back to the same spot the next day and caught just under a full cooler. All in all it was a good week. The winds didn’t cooperate at all, but we had a great time and caught a decent amount of shrimp!

Oh… and by the way… we had Flipper on our poles on the last day, and it didn’t seem to affect the numbers at all. Shrimp didn’t really turn on until later, but when they did, Flipper didn’t seem to have any effect.
