Out Of Commission for awhile

Shot out to GC in the chilly early morning dark skies and got to one of the area around 6:45 with little light at all. Around 7:15 had not managed a bite but once the tide turned and I hit a structured area; the reds were schooled up ready to eat. Managed a few but missed many fighting through the brush. Most had to be lip hooked because after a few tugs in the structure I was pulling my hooks. After a couple hours headed to Flag but heard a knocking in the motor as I hit open waters so headed to the Hill praying my baby didn’t fail me in the water. Got to the landing safely around 9:30 with no additional issues. Out of commission for awhile. Focus on the Super Bowl!!!

Hopefully it isn’t anything major and you’ll be reporting again soon.

Well Thanks fellas but it’s my lower unit so I’m out for a week or two but my Mechanic is on top of it.

I guess it could have been worse, could have been the powerhead. It ain’t a boat if something isn’t breaking it seems.

That sucks to hear… at least it wasn’t from hitting something under the waterline. I had hub issues last weekend and leafspring issues this weekend… ended up pulling the boat off of the trailer and going to rebuild the springs, bunks\brackets and all electrical this week… maybe, just maybe I’ll get to fish this coming weekend…if I’m lucky

In the end we are all owned by our trailers, aren’t we!

Guess we all have issues with our vessel from time to time. At least with the insurance it would cut the cost somewhat. Already have the foot on the way but now awaiting the adjuster. Hopefully not down too long. Thanks with all the good wishes.
