I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on a good outboard mechanic or place to take my boat to have a repair. I have a 70hp 1988 Johnson 2 stroke that has been running and cutting off and sounds a little out of pitch. I live on James Island and just called Seel’s Outboard to find out it would be 2-3 weeks before they could get to me. Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

Call liberty marine in hollywood, good people there. They always stay open a lottle later when I need help. They are really cheap too.
The store is about a half mile onto hwy 162, so probably 10 or 15 miles for you.
