Anybody have any good info on the Outer Banks? I will be staying in a resort at Oregon Inlet. All the sites I’ve found want to sell charters. I’m looking to find some good spots. I’m taking my dad which is up there in years and would love for him to hook a nice Striper. Any help wpuld be appreciated.

Just take some surf rods and go to the south side of the inlet. The blue fish will be running HARD! use white bucktails and cast as far as you can. You will be pulling 15 pounders out of the surf like you never imagined! Then blacken season them and brown in a pan then finish in the oven. Its not too bad with enough blackening seasoning! And a lot of butter.

It’s a fly fishing site but people on there use conventional tackle as well. Also they’ve posted a lot of info about places to wade fish, etc.
I also doubt you will find striper at Oregon Inlet during the summer. Lot’s of redfish and flounder but no linesides.
