Outfished again ...

I am going to stop taking her, she outfished me again

First trout of the day, I am convinced these fish don’t grow any larger than 13.5" after the past few days of fishing

Okay so she let me catch one

Took a ride up the ICW and checked things out

Then through the harbor

Finished the day with this guy

All the trout and stingray were caught on finger mullet
Redfish on live shrimp

I also caught about 100 pinfish

All in all a great day, look forward to next time

Hey, be happy she enjoys being out on the water with you. My wife loves just being out there. Haven’t really turned heron to fishing yet but she is a mean crabber. My sons joke that it is a case of one crab catching another.

haha, well she only likes going if we are catching fish, if we are just fishing no catching, she doesn’t want to be there haha, I found a pretty consistant spot so I can get her to go

Hurricane: was searching some old trout posts and came across one where you mentioned growing up on asheville. What part? I grew up near the Bent Creek area. Always nice to see a fellow NC guy down here in Charleston.

Small world guys. I lived in weaverville from age 7 to 23 or so. Gods country up there

“mr keys”

Yep, I tell everyone I bought the kayak because its the closest I can get to Asheville in reference to no people and quietness, no people just me and nature, kinda of cheesey but the truth. We will probably head back one day, might not have the monster reds but something special about a trout stream
