Whats you alls opinion on the best thing to take oxidation off the hull!! Its really bad any ideas already used 3m compound, turtle wax compound, Ajax and scotch bright pads (which I know is not good but worked the best)!! Any ideas, Wet sanding, Compound, what brand, what grit??? Any idea?? Thanks!
use on off hull cleaner, then compound, polish and wax if you want to put that much work into it. Just be careful not to breathe that stuff in. It sprays on, let it sit, spray it off with water. Also works good on rust stains.

make sure the hull cleaner has oxcalic(sp?) acid in it…I put mine in an old cleaner bottle with a spray nozzle…spray directly onto hull and scrub a little with my regular wash scrub brush just to move it around…rinse off then wax if you like…you really don’t need to even scrub with that stuff…don’t waste your time with anything else trying to get the brown stain off…
I have a blue and white hull. I have no problem getting the water stains removed with the hull cleaners. It’s the oxidation in the blue that the hull cleaners don’t seem to touch. Will this on and off remove oxidation?
I agree with ugly stick on color oxidation, you need to compound then Polish then wax. Or compound then wax depending on the degree of compound and amount of swirl/grit left.

Get a good polisher (not the orbital ones, the angle grinder type, a wool pad, and 3M Imperial compound as stated above. Altogether it will set you back $250-300, but it is the only way to do it right and without killing yourself in the process.
I have an 86 wellcraft V20 that was heavily oxidized. I used an orbital buffer from Northern tool ($34) and 3M Restorer. It took two applications on the sides where the sun oxidized it more, but it brought the shine back.
