oyster mounds

There’s a large mud flat near where we fish on Wadmallaw sound that has lots of oyster mounds located throughout the flat. It seems to me that this would be a good area to fish at high tide. My problem is I don’t know what to do at high tide. How do you fish this area…considering that at high tide all of the mounds are covered. Do you just drift over the whole area and drag or float baits or do you anchor up next to mound by mound and try your luck? What would you do?

thanks!!

I’d go in the morning at first light and use a top dog or top pup.

That would get anything in the area!

Top waters on incoming up to high. At high -top waters and then if not working try live or arti under a popping cork set shallow enough to stay above the shells. I spot that’s hot you can also soak a chunk of mullet on a Carolina rig in the deeper areas between the mounds that has some current going by.
