Anyone have a recipe for grilling oysters on half shell?
parmisan cheese, sprinkle of old bay and a squirt of fresh lime

that sounds like a pretty good one-- don’t forget to light the grill.
sorry for the sarcasm… couldn’t resist. i really do prefer mine plain. trickier over direct fire-- the dry heat boils then cooks off the liquor much faster than in wet heat… more so for a charcoal grill than with gas and good temp control.

+10 add to that a little butter.
While shucking steamed oysters, I set aside a couple dozen for the wife as she won’t eat them raw and prepare them this way.
Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. - Theodore Roosevelt.
Raw is king.
Steamed are great.
Oyster Rockefeller is excellent.
But smoked is unbelievable!
We pop some open and smoke them on the half shell in a closed, low-temp smoker …-awesome - little hot sauce on some, lemon on others, lime on some … BBQ sauce on others … all fantastic!
Thanks, Captain Ross

Thats what we do … don’t need much seasoning actually (especially f you get a salty batch).
Thanks, Captain Ross
