PainKiller 4/3/12

Left the dock at noon, rougher seas than expected. Two hours to the GT Hole. Water temps were just under 70 when we arrived. No birds, temp rips, flying fish or wood pallets.

Early short strike on the bird in the prop wash - naked ballyhoo.

Much later, the WTFB went off, nice gaffer mahi. Slow.

Found a weed line, birds flying around it, but no strikes.

Picked up and ran a few miles south. Water temps south of the hole 72.

County line goes off, long fight with a large black fin. Trolled the same spot and again another large black fin.

Rough seas. Had to race home in time for little league.

All fish were caught on the surface on naked rigs. Nothing down deep. Around 200 feet.

Tight lines,
Jason

Fishing and baseball=Good day

Any man that doesn’t know how to catch a fish, shouldn’t disgrace a fish, by catching it.
